I started the 22-day challenge, complements of Rex Harawa PhD, munthu mulala chomene. Highly successful but always humble. The perfect gentleman. See him in his signature bow-tie and you know you have met a man of class.
Today I have the honour of nominating Justice Lovemore Chikopa Sr.. Lord Chikopa is one of the finest legal luminaries Around. He is a jurist of repute. He has a unique style of writing that makes his judgements read like an actions packed novel. His masterly of the Queens language is impeccable. I use his judgements as teaching aids, and also to show students how to properly structure a judgement, as well as present an argument. Apart from the law, I also share another passion with Lord Chikopa; soccer. But unlike me, he is still an active footballer and a deadly goal poacher. He is nimble footed and has deft touches. And he never tires, even in social games. Some of us have to go off and rest (and drink) every quarter! We further share the same passion in football administration and many a time engage in a discussion about the future of our football. Lord Chikopa is also an extremely humble, amiable, charming but hardworking judge. But make no mistake and don't get fooled, he is highly principled and his commitment to the rule of law is absolute. He is not one that moves with the majority to swell numbers. Often times he has been a lone voice of reason, crusader of justice. I am highly honoured and privileged to call such a distinguished jurist, a friend.
The rules are simple:
Once you are nominated, your 22 days start.
Every day you are supposed to record yourself doing 22 pushups. Now in your case Lord Chikopa; I do not expect you to post a recording of the court fully clad in court attire doing push ups. That would be holding the court in contempt and bringing the profession into disrepute. I dare not risk contempt! But I trust you shall take up the challenge to completion. Try your best to reach 22. If it means doing assisted push ups on your knees,or stop to take a break, that's cool, but make sure to get them all done, all 22 push ups.
However, every day after you do your lot, you must still nominate a different person. Try to choose people you think need this.
